Biography
Jackie Burton is an Academy of the Canyons alum with ten years experience teaching multiple levels of secondary English ranging from 7th grade to AP English Literature. She holds a BA in English Education from San Francisco State University and a California Secondary Education English Credential from the California State University, Northridge. She is passionate about teaching literature from diverse perspectives and believes in empowering students to discover their voice. Outside of the classroom, she loves to spend time with her husband and cats, hike, write poetry, travel, read, and drink way too much fancy coffee. Mrs. Burton currently teaches Honors English 9, Freshman Seminar, and Yearbook.
